Description

ARLINGTON, VA — Hambone is a large tan, mixed breed dog who's living with a foster family associated with the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. "Hambone is an incredibly sweet, lovable couch potato/goof ball/snuggle bug," the foster family told AWLA. "He loves people and kids, and will shamelessly lick anyone in the face if he can! He loves snuggles, belly rubs, toys, fetch, and playing with other dogs. He's potty trained, knows sit and stay, and walks pretty well on a leash. He loves being near people and is a bit of a Velcro dog, but has been totally fine when left home alone uncrated. He's surprisingly short for his size (18″ from his shoulder to the floor), so isn't a good counter-surfer." An AWLA volunteer called Hambone a sweetheart who loves soft toys and tennis balls. He's been known to carry a toy with him on long walks, just in case he gets a chance to play. Pet of the Week highlights animals available for adoption from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. The Arlington County Animal Shelter is located at 2650 S. Arlington Mill Drive, Arlington, VA 22206. Visit AWLA's website to find out more.
