Press release from the Summit Public Schools: 2021-12-17 Kindergarten Registration for New Students 2022-2023 School Year The Summit Public Schools will open online registration on December 20, 2021 for new students who will be entering kindergarten in September 2022. Parents/Guardians with students new to Summit Public Schools will need to register online and make an appointment with the school secretary to bring in residency verification documents. Please visit the Registration page under the Resources tab. Tours of Jefferson Primary Center will be held on December 15, 2021 and January 7, 2022 and tours of Wilson Primary Center will be held on December 14, 2021 and January 6, 2022. Please contact your Primary Center to make a reservation. Residency verification appointments will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from January 25, 2022 to February 8, 2022 for Summit residents whose child's 5th birthday falls before October 1, 2022. Residency verification will take place at the Primary Center the child will attend. If a parent/guardian is not sure which Primary Center their child will attend, please call the Summit Board of Education office at (908) 918-2100, ext. 3104. Appointments are necessary for residency verification. Appointments will be scheduled through the registration portal in order to complete the required paperwork. All forms that are not part of the online registration must be submitted at the time of the residency verification appointment. There will be an option to import the following residency documents during the online registration process: Residency Documents (Provide 1) Contract of Purchase or Sale of House Deed Mortgage Statement Tax Bill Current Lease Supporting Documents (Provide 3) Current Driver's License Utility/Water/Cable Bills Current Credit Card/Bank Statement Current Vehicle Insurance Voter Registration Card Also required at registration are: Original Birth Certificate or Passport Completed Health History parent questionnaire Copy of the most recent Physical Exam, form completed, signed and stamped by child's physician Complete Immunization Records Should you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Donna Schneider at Wilson Primary Center (908) 918-2175 or Mrs. Donna Niebanck at Jefferson Primary Center at (908) 918-2160.
