Abstract Workshop with Charlie Steg will be opened for people of any age, interested in developing their artistic skills. Through various exercises, examples and explanations, abstract artist Charlie Steg will provide tools for the understanding, design, construction and discovery of the abstract work. Explained step by step, in this course, Charlie Steg offers technical tutorials, theoretical classes on composition, colour and abstraction. The objective of the workshop is to bring the participants closer to the plastic possibilities offered by abstract painting, not only as a breaking point with traditional painting, but also as an element of expression. The central idea is that students find in practice tools that are useful for the artistic development of each one. It will work with the projection of Charlie Steg's works as an example and / or trigger of ideas for the participants. On the other hand, different techniques will be tried according to the type of painting that is carried out in each class. Through an active methodology supported by experimentation, participants will be able to develop their ability to pictorially express their conscious, preconscious and dream dimensions, through the practice of procedures, attitudes and concepts typical of the abstract modalities. Charlie Steg is an academic painter, which means he has he extensive training by the Montclair State University. In this workshop, Charlie will share his knowledge and techniques, gained from his years of painting experience. It’s ideal for beginners or for figurative painters interested in exploring the abstract world. The outcome of the workshop will be to complete a big painting in an abstract expressive style, with either geometric or organic shapes and compositions.
