LOS ANGELES, CA — Another UCLA men's basketball game has been canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, officials announced Friday. The NCAA men's basketball game between UCLA and North Carolina in the CBS Sports Classic on Saturday is canceled because of coronavirus cases among the Bruins. It's the second time this week that COVID forced UCLA to cancel games. The coronavirus plagued Los Angeles sports teams all week with the bulk of the Rams squad testing positive for COVID-19 along with members of the Lakers and the Kings. Saturday's UCLA game will not be rescheduled, the university announced. It had been set to be played at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. UCLA's team-related activities have been paused and the status of future games is to be determined, the school's athletic department said in a release Friday. On Wednesday, the UCLA men's basketball against Alabama State was canceled. City News Service and Patch Staffer Paige Austin contributed to this report.
