Press release from the Long Beach Unified School District: December 16, 2021 View Flyer: English Spanish A series of Kindergarten Festivals for incoming 2022-23 kindergartners and their families is set to begin Saturday, Jan. 8. Families of 4 to 5-year-old learners are encouraged to attend to learn about LBUSD's Kindergarten, Head Start, Transitional Kindergarten and Child Development Center programs. The popular, free festivals will include parent workshops, books, dental screenings and lots of fun activities. Families who attend at least two workshops will receive a free backpack.  Following is the schedule of the monthly festivals, which are planned for 9 a.m. to noon (registration begins at 8:45 a.m.): Saturday, Jan. 8 at Dooley Elementary School, 5075 Long Beach Blvd., Long Beach; Saturday, Feb. 5 at Roosevelt Elementary School, 1574 Linden Ave., Long Beach; Saturday, March 5 at Burcham Elementary School, 5610 Monlaco Road, Long Beach.
