FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — Galen Snyder, the former head coach for the Pennsbury High School Falcons, will be retiring to his former position after five years away from coaching. The school district announced his return in a video they released on YouTube, which begins with the following text: "The Pennsbury School District and PHS Athletics Department are excited to announce that Galen Snyder is returning as head coach of the Pennsbury High School Falcons football team!" Snyder, who currently teachers Social Studies at Pennsbury High School West, served as the football team's head coach for 14 years before initially leaving his position in 2016. Beginning as a member of the Falcon's 1985, Snyder went on to become the team's longest-serving coach. During his original tenure as head coach, he led the Falcons with a 116-48 record, combined with a win percentage of over .700. His teams have won four titles in the Suburban One National League and two district titles; they reached the Class AAAA state semifinals twice. "[I'm] looking forward to the challenge of working with a new generation of kids," Snyder said in a video interview for Pennsbury. After graduating from Pennsbury, Snyder went on to play collegiate-level football at Duke University and Columbia University.
