Here are the top three stories today in Jackson: Recent COVID-19 cases lead to virtual learning for Jim Hill High School students. Seven students and three staff members tested positive, and those exposed have been notified. They have moved instruction online for the rest of the semester as a precaution. (WAPT Jackson) Morning Sip visited the 'Festival of Trees' at the Westin Jackson. The festival involved ice skating, as well as a viewing of Christmas trees that feature ornaments made by Jackson elementary students. The last weekend of the festival is Dec. 17-18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (WJTV) Atmos Energy donated leak detection equipment to the Jackson Fire Department and the Mississippi Public Service Commission. The equipment will help keep residents safe, according to VP of Public Affairs, Bobby Morgan.
