Here are the top stories today in Laguna Beach: The California Coastal Commission approved updates to the City of Laguna Beach Downtown Specific Plan, the city shared on Thursday. The approval of the planning document serves to guide growth, design, and development standards in Downtown Laguna Beach, according to a city spokesperson. (Laguna Beach Patch).Despite clearer skies forecasted for this weekend, a weekend rain advisory remains in place for all Orange County beaches, harbors and bay waters, the OC Health Care Agency said Friday. (Laguna Beach Patch).In response to resident complaints about long wait times for ambulances, the City of Laguna Beach has opted to start staffing two full-time city-operated ambulances come July.
