Get out and hike the first day of 2021.
Start your New Year in the great outdoors on this 6.3 mile (roundtrip) "1st Day Hike" to Carpenter Peak with Naturalists Paul Bleau and Dave Thomas. Its summit is the highest point in the park at 7175 ft. and provides a spectacular 360 degree view from downtown Denver to Pike National Forest. Enjoy the view while eating lunch on the peak! Bring water, food, appropriate apparel, yaktrax or micro-spikes, and poles. This is a strenuous hike with a 1000 ft. elevation gain.
COVID-19 Restriction in place, must wear mask, limited group size, social distance between people.
Entrance fee has increased to $10 per vehicle. No pets or bikes in the park.
