Description

FRANKLIN, MA — A woman was found dead from what police are calling blunt-force related injuries at her home that was set on fire in Franklin while her estranged husband was arrested in the front yard Friday morning. Shirley Owen, 49, had a restraining order out against her husband, 47-year-old Brendon Owen before the fire was set, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said. Franklin police officers say Owen had to be taken into custody from the scene of the burning house on Grace Lane by use of a Taser. Owen is expected to face a murder charge, and the two have two children who police say are safe. Fire investigators are working at the scene to determine how the fire started.
