Found Chihuahua

Description

On the night of 12/14/17, just before the storm, I was driving from Flagstaff to Mormon Lake (where I reside). I came across a little Chihuahua running down Lake Mary Rd just past the first Mormon Lake lookout. She was absolutely frightened, cold, and lost. Had I not seen her in the dark as I was passing her, I am certain she would not have survived the night. After spending the night with us, we learned that she knows how to use a doggie door, sleeps well in a crate, and gets along with our dogs and cat. I took her into the vet clinic I work at the next morning and scanned her for a chip all over her body. Sadly, she didn’t have one. I called the humane society in Flagstaff and filed a “found pet” report. So far, no one has contacted them looking for a dog with her description. I called the Mormon Lake Lodge and store asking if anyone was looking for her, and nothing. I did end up putting a sweater and a cat collar on her so she wasn’t so naked. As of right now, she’s snuggled up nice and cozy watching TV with us on the couch, and this is where she’ll stay until she finds her family. If anyone we recognizes this little angel, please contact me. She was definitely loved, and I’m sure there is a family missing her like crazy.
