A family-owned and operated business having served our customers faithfully and successfully in North County San Diego for over 13 years seeking a fleet mechanic apprentice who is interested in furthering their career in the field. Training includes: A professional, apprentice turn fleet mechanic for our quickly growing company. With initial mentoring and training, you will learn how to independently perform services, 90 day and annual vehicle BIT inspections to comply with CHP and DOT regulations, basic, turned complex troubleshooting and diagnosing, and maintaining equipment. Riding around with an experienced Fleet Mechanic with onsite training. Basic knowledge of parts ordering. Clean and safe work environment. Welding training. Essential Duties for Apprentice: Basic knowledge on fleet equipment/trucks. Basic troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of parts ordering and organization for services. Must have a clean DMV (no more than 1 point on record, no suspensions, failures to appear, etc.). Please submit DMV K4 print out dated within the last 30 days. Must be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs. Must be able to write legibly to complete work orders and other required paperwork. Must be able to read and comprehend basic maintenance manuals. Must be able to operate a cell-phone with a timesheet app in a professional manner. Must be professional with customers and co-workers.
