We need help with light landscaping and maintenance for some of our homes being prepared as affordable housing. All aspects of landscaping. Grass cutting, weeding, planting trees, shrubs, flowers, spreading mulch, reviving neglected gardens. We also need assistance with preparing homes and special woodworking projects built onsite or off. Homeownership Center of Tacoma/Northwest (HCNW) is a 29 year old 501(c)3 nonprofit that expands homeownership options by building new and rehabilitating existing homes and offering these homes for purchase to low-income and moderate-income individuals and families, veterans and seniors. HCNW provides free financial education and homeownership counseling to first-time homebuyer clients, assistance to create strong credit profiles, and guidance in selecting, financing, and maintaining their homes. Community service hours or volunteer(s). Properties throughout Tacoma and Spanaway. Additional opportunities include any skilled trades, fundraising committee membership, project manager.
