Twas 8 days before Christmas with streets stirring and busy all around. It's almost Christmas in the Joplin town. Covid and gifts abound everywhere, yet ol' jolly Nick just doesn't care! You see those donation boxes in nearly every store. Filling them is fine but you could do so much more. Like maybe invite a family in through your door. Our world is filled with violence and hate, so many children trapped in this fate. So don't just open your wallet or drop a gift by. Give of yourself, see someone eye to eye! Least we forget to some there's no cheer to be found, yep even here in this Joplin town. So think about this when those homeless you just drove by might sit alone and some even cry. You know how the right conversation can totally change you day? Did you stop and think that they are the same way. Can we just take 10 minutes from our day to possibly help a stranger along the way. Stop with some hot coffee and offer to chat. A little given time can mean so much more that that $5 gift from some store! So reach out to someone and help stop the hate it can lead to a much brighter fate. Love is a gift that we can all pass around in our ol' Joplin town.
