Singer looking to start a band

Experienced singer, looking for a band. I just got out of the Army and moved back to the area, about a month ago. Been singing for about 12 years and have been in a few bands, during my time in the service, but always had to relocate, before anything could really take off. I am able to sing many different styles. I started off singing 80s hair bands (Whitesnake, GnR, Motley Crue, etc.), but I have widened my ranged to many other areas, such as Blues, Metal (like Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth), Country, Rock, Alt rock. Really the only thing I’m not able to do is scream. I also have a roommate who is a bassist, so we have that covered. I’d be willing to start out as a cover band, so we can start doing gigs, but my end goal is to be an original band and put our mark on the music industry.
