Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: Position starts at $15/hour for 'green' candidates and varies based on experience. Due to the nature of our work, overtime is very common. Our company pays 1.5x the employee's hourly rate for hours over 40 worked within a week. Travel: Up to 25% of the time. All travel is within the state of Florida ONLY and does not typically extend over 5 consecutive days at a time. Private hotel room and per diem paid per trip. Job Responsibilities: • Assist Driller with soil borings, soil sampling, rock coring, and visual soil classification and documentation • Hauling supplies to and from the drill site • Manual material handling • Mixing drilling fluids • Logging boreholes • Perform other duties as assigned, such as staking boring locations, site reconnaissance, and completing hand auger borings or test pit excavations Job Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED • Must be able to work flexible hours and travel out of town when necessary • Successful completion of a physical, pre-employment drug screen and background check • The ability to lift 50-70 lbs on a regular basis and to work 8+ hours per day • Position requires outdoor work. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions • Must complete all work in a safe manner • Experience with heavy equipment or construction equipment operation preferred • Drilling experience preferred, but not required • Valid driver’s license.
