Basil is one of the most popular herbs used in cooking. Ancient Greeks call basil the “royal herb” and many gardeners call it the “king of the herbs.” Learn how to use different species of basil as a flavor enhancer to reduce sodium in your diet and how to harvest and store it. Hands on activities and lecture combined. Attendees will sample food items and take home an information booklet on basil. This class will be held on January 20th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and repeated again from 6 to 8 p.m.
The registration fee is $20.00. Participants must register on Eventbrite by January 10, 2022. Class is limited to 50. There will be no refunds for the registration fee. This class is subject to cancellation if there are less than 5 people registered. If the workshop is cancelled, the registration fee can be used for a future program.
