Romantic Oil painting of a young couple. Signed, and dated 1885. Folks, this is an effort to find the right appreciative person interested in an unusual (maybe historical) portrayal of what appears to be Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. They appear to be dressed in costumes, as for in a play or drama. I bought it years ago because of its romantic appeal. But a friend commented that the male in the painting looked like Prince Albert. If it is Prince Albert then the lady ( painted idealistically in profile) is most certainly a young Queen Victoria. Please judge for yourself in the attached photos: note the shape of the male's face, the long narrow nose, the small mustache and mouth. the shock of hair, the arch of the eyebrows. The frame appears to be carved and original measuring 29x32. It would make a rare unique gift for any occasion for the right person.
