Description

Witch Ball and Yoga Workshop to call in abundance for the New Year! Join Cheryl Yeagar and me for a fun workshop of yoga, meditation, and crafting a witch ball for your home. Witch Balls are an ancient pagan custom brought over from England in the 17th century. It was designed to ensnare evil spirits and energies and protect the space they’re hung in. They're hung year-round, often in an eastern window, to fend off evil spirits, illness, bad fortune, and curses. They also are used for good fortune, good spirits, and the ability to manifest your desires! Witch balls contain different ingredients for extra magickal oomph. Their sparkly patterns and bright colors were believed to attract and mesmerize evil spirits. When they touched it, their energy would be absorbed and trapped inside forever. Think of it like a witchy Venus flytrap. Even now, people still hang witch balls outside of their front door, on their porches, at their windows, or throughout their home to trap negative energy. Let's gather together and create some magic 💫 Date: Monday, January 3, 2022  Time:  6-8:00pm Location: Beach Side Nutrition 232 Melba St, Milford, CT 06460 Cost: $40.00 Please bring a yoga mat and any props that you may need. Everything else will be provided. My  journey to yoga began in 1974 when I luckily came across Richard Hittleman's book Yoga 28 Day Exercise Plan. It changed--no--it saved my life. Wanting to deepen my understanding about yoga, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training in 2013 at Soul Space in Southington, CT.  I was also fortunate enough to train with Rolf Gates and Nikki Myers to get my Y12SR certification. I recently graduated with a certification in Yoga for Trauma with Lisa Danylchuk and studied with Karen Wells for a certification in Meditation.  My classes are heartfelt and intuitive, gently challenging, and deeply nourishing. By creating a safe space and emphasizing synchronization of breath with movement, I guide you to flow with more ease and grace while deepening your physical and spiritual practice. I use the teachings of Hatha Yoga, Y12SR training, Yoga4Trauma and meditation to promote a healthy, conscious lifestyle. When I am not teaching, you can find me volunteering at Furry Friends Foster and Rescue, sailing, hiking and eating!
