A growing Southern NH engine building machine shop is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic All-Around Support Person who can assist with shop maintenance, shipping/receiving, provide general support to our machinists, clean/inspect all incoming engine blocks and help with deliveries. SHIPPING/RECEIVING -Assists in receiving of all raw stock, engine blocks and daily deliveries. Requires organization and attention to detail. -Assists in inspecting and wrapping of all parts and engine blocks for UPS, FedEx and daily shop deliveries. -Making deliveries when necessary. -Comes up with ideas, solutions and organizational methods to help shop and shipping department run smoothly and efficiently. GENERAL MACHINE SHOP SUPPORT -Assists in cutting stock for jobs -Performs secondary machine operations, such as deburring, tumbling and cleaning of parts -Helps perform daily maintenance to machines, i.e. maintaining and changing coolant and wayoil levels to insure that equipment runs efficiently, emptying chip barrels/trays, cleaning machines -Responsible for keeping all shop benches equipped with proper tools/supplies -Maintains shop appearance by keeping things shop clean, i.e. empting trash, sweeping/mopping, cleaning bathroom, ect. This is a GREAT opportunity to someone fresh out of high school that is interested in learning about machining and/or getting their foot in the door at a machine shop. Also, if you are passionate about the racing industry, don’t mind getting your hands dirty, have a technical mindset and want to learn more about engine building, then we want to talk to you! Technical schooling a plus! REQUIREMENTS -Must have good mechanical skills -Must have the desire to learn and grow -Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision -Must have attention to detail and good organizational skills -Must be able to lift over 75lbs -Must have driver’s license and good driving record This a full time position. Plenty of room for growth for the right person. $15-$16 hour based on experience. Possible overtime available. Paid holidays and vacation time.
