Organic Farm manager, Year Round Employment Moon Valley Organics provides a source of high-quality, organic personal care products that promote a healthy way of caring for our bodies and the world. We use simple ingredients from our farm, packaged in environmentally friendly containers, free of any artificial ingredients. As a company, we have committed to eco-friendly and socially responsible business practices. We believe that business should be a force for good. We are a organic herb/vegetable farm. We also have a production facility that processes our farm grown herbs into value added body care products such as organic lotions, lip balms, medicinal salves and hair care. Our farm is located 30 minutes east of Bellingham and 30 minutes north of Sedro Woolly. Please check out our Instagram Duties will include- Working on a diverse organic farm 2.5 acres of herbs, 4 acres of pollinator sanctuary, 1 acre of vegetables, and 1 acre orchard Greenhouse management - mixing soils, starting seedlings, raising green house starts. Irrigation duties - setting up field irrigation drip hoses etc. Maintain crops - growing field crops, herbs and flowers Weeding Planting and maintaining pollinator sanctuary Maintain and nurture wild spaces Process all plant material ie drying and storing herbs for the years production Pest management Small orchard management General Grounds keeping Basic equipment operation Tractor work plowing, disking, flame weeding and mowing etc. Employee and volunteer management Who we need is a person who is eager to learn, hardworking and well organized and a love for the outdoors and plants. We can teach all things organic. We are a bit flexible in the winter months if you like to take a month for skiing if not we have plenty of work. The working atmosphere is casual.
