Continuing Education for Certified Community Health Workers and CHW students Northwest Vista College, with support from San Antonio Housing Authority and Metro Health will be offering a 5-hour DSHS certified CEU program for CHWs and CHW students on Saturday, January 15, 2022. The cost of the program is free. The agenda will provide a review for advocacy skills for major federal and state benefit programs, plus a presentation by San Antonio Housing Authority and the new CHW HUB sponsored by Metro Health. The program will be from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the lobby, Westside Education and Training Center, 563 SW 40th Street. Registration and breakfast begin at 8:30 AM. Lunch will also be provided. The five-hour DSHS CEU program will provide the following competencies: 1.0 hours Service Coordination Skills, and 4.0 hours Advocacy Skills.
