A captivating live storytelling event featuring Mississippi Today journalists, music and community. Local Live(s) is a show that brings together journalists and locals for a night of entertainment and conversation by and for the people of Mississippi. Think of it as a podcast, but live and on stage. The theme of this event is Power: Stories of Strength, Imbalance and Untapped Potential. Storytellers: Journalists share stories behind their reporting, inviting readers into a world they’ve only observed from the outside. Community members also share true, unvarnished stories from their lives. The result is an entertaining, captivating event filled with new connections and suspense. Featured Mississippi Today team members include: journalist Anna Wolfe, cartoonist Marshall Ramsey and photojournalist Vickie King, with a special musical guest.
