The purpose of the training is to build foundational knowledge of implicit biases. The purpose of the training is to build foundational knowledge of implicit biases. This is an introduction into the conversation of what causes biases in all of us, how they manifest (within our classrooms, with our children, and as individuals more broadly), and concrete strategies for beginning to disrupt or counteract our biases. The purpose of the Educare program is to improve the quality of child care and early learning programs. Educare provides resources, technical assistance, and training opportunities to child care providers who care for children receiving Child Care Subsidy, with an emphasis on family home providers. Resources and trainings are free. Educare funding is provided by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division, Early Childhood Section.The Mid-America Regional Council administors the Educare program in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in partnership with the Local Investment Commission, The Family Conservancy, MCC-Penn Valley and Start at Zero.
