Position Summary: We are searching for dependable skilled laborers to join our new team! The skilled laborer’s responsibilities include ensuring worksites are clean and safe, using power tools, painting, aiding with heavy machinery and taking instruction from supervisors/ tradesman to complete the job. We are looking for a skilled laborer ready to expand their skill set and increase their level of expertise. Responsibilities/Duties: Qualifications • Moving materials to the worksite and ensuring all tools, machinery and other equipment are safely set up • Operating power tools such as drills, hammers, shovels • Running heavy machinery- such as forklifts and skid steers • Assisting with various electrical and plumbing installation procedures • Obeying health and safety codes, as well as Russo’s safety principles • Removing hazardous materials from site • Spreading materials over surfaces • Painting • Assist with demolitions • Performing site and equipment inspections • Attending necessary meetings • Ensuring tasks are completed to deadlines • All other tasks assigned by management Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Sound knowledge of construction and practical experience with tools • Excelled time management, organizational and communication skills • Great hand, eye, and foot coordination • High understanding of safety procedures • Excellence dependability • Strong willingness to learn and be flexible Physical Demands: • Required to stand & walk for long periods of time • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. • Position requires lifting, stooping, bending, twisting, reaching Credentials and Experience: • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required • Previous forklift and skid steer experience required • Must have PPE such as steel toe boots, eye wear and gloves Russo Hardware, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
