We need a reliable field assistant to carry out various audit-related documentation tasks in the Port of Tacoma. Primary tasks include visiting vessels, auditing procedures, and collecting signed documents 4-5 times per month. To qualify, you must: 1) Have a valid TWIC Card 2) Be up to date on COVID vaccinations 3) Own a laptop computer and be proficient in Microsoft Excel Tasks are not too complex and training will be provided. Additional helpful qualifications: •Experience as either: vessel agent, longshore, maritime vendor •Can intuitively solve problems and use good judgment •Reliably communicate during operations and keep us up to date •Have a good rapport with all stakeholders, and a friendly demeanor Again, please note you must meet the three primary qualifications. Time commitment: This is a part-time hourly commitment of 4-5 days per month (6-8 hours per day). An ideal candidate would be someone who regularly works in the port but can set aside time in their schedule to do these tasks.
