Here are the top 3 stories today in Albuquerque: A room at the Taylor Ranch Library is being dedicated to the late City Councilor Ken Sanchez. Officials say Sanchez, who served on City Council for 14 years representing the westside, was a key advocate for the library and for the construction of the Central and Unser library. The room is under construction and adds more than 1,000 square feet to the library's existing layout. (KRQE News 13)An arrest warrant was issued for the man accused of driving the vehicle that fatally struck a 7-year-old at the intersection of Tingley and Central on Sunday night. Sergio Almanza, 27, is wanted for vehicular homicide, fleeing the scene of an accident, and tampering with evidence. Pronoy Bhattacharya, 7, was killed in the crash and his father was hospitalized. (KOB)Albuquerque Fire Rescue put out a house fire on Wednesday morning that was allegedly set by a squatter. Crews responded to the home downtown near Lomas Blvd. and Sixth Street where police say a woman was camping inside a vacant home and lit a bundle of paper to keep warm.
