The apartments would feature elements of communal living like shared kitchens allocated to all the residents on a given floor. Many fear these new apartments, approved to address the housing shortage in SLC, may end up paving the way for kitchens and bathrooms to be deemed luxury amenities as rent prices continue to rise. (KSL.com) Salt Lake City has officially submitted its bid to host the 2024 Republican National Convention, hoping to seal the deal after two previously unsuccessful bids in 2016 and 2012. Proponents for the bid cite the potential economic impact to Utah's capital city as a benefit to hosting the convention.
