Press release from City of Fort Worth: December 16, 2021 Fort Worth's newest public art commissioners have been seated. Dr. Jennifer G. Brooks and Branigan Contreras were sworn in during a ceremony before the Dec. 13 meeting of the Art Commission at Fort Worth City Hall. Brooks is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a doctorate in education. She is no stranger to Fort Worth arts and culture, having served on the board of directors for Performing Arts Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Opera. Contreras is a Fort Worth native and graduate of Texas Wesleyan University with a bachelor of business administration. She has over 10 years of experience in higher education grant management, nonprofit fundraising, community outreach and advocacy. The Art Commission advises and makes recommendations to Fort Worth City Council regarding the Fort Worth Public Art program.
