LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - The Lawrence Township Police Department is remaining vigilant after a disturbing new nationwide TikTok "challenge." This new trend encourages violence this Friday at schools around the country, but they did not name any specific targets. "At this time, this information has been vetted through several law enforcement sources and there is no specific, credible threat to any of our schools," Police Chief Brian M. Caloiaro said. Caloiaro said the police department is working with law enforcement partners at the Federal, state, county, and local levels to ensure all lines of communication are open and all relevant information is shared. The police chief said that the department will be giving "extra attention" to all schools in the community on Friday. On Dec. 2 Lawrence High School went into lockdown after a student was found with a loaded handgun. The police have remained extra vigilant since then.
