TINLEY PARK, IL — A Tinley Park police officer was injured in a traffic crash Wednesday afternoon, according to officials. The Will County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident which occurred on West Creek Drive. According to Tinley Park Police Chief Matthew Walsh, the officer was driving when a woman cutting through a parking lot pulled out onto the street and struck the officer's squad car. The officer sustained an injury to his foot and knee and was treated and released the same day.
