We're Looking for a Bookkeeping Assistant Creative Carpet & Flooring is looking for an enthusiastic, highly organized individual to fill a Bookkeeping Assistant position, whose main responsibilities will be performing a variety of tasks including assisting in preparing financial statements, bank recs, payroll reports, and maintaining the accuracy of all general ledger accounts. This position requires only a basic knowledge of accounting. The work environment is very informal. Roles and Duties The Bookkeeping Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Coordinating Payroll reporting Filing and paying sales and use taxes Bank reconciliations Maintaining the accuracy of all G/L accounts Monitoring the budget; Working with the owner and various department heads in maintaining the budget Creating various reports in Excel, including margin reports, sales close ratio reports, etc. Preparing and gathering needed information and reports for CPA Job Candidate Qualities Minimum two years experience in accounting or Associates degree in accounting or business Positive and pleasant to be around and work with. Able to get things done by working well with others Common sense and business sense, including understanding at a practical level how the world of business works Unwavering attention to detail, with a drive for accuracy and perfection Strong personal and work ethic Hyper-Organized – Able to handle a large variety of tasks without letting things slip through the cracks Comfortable with technology – Able to quickly learn new software tools Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook To apply, send a cover letter and resume to [email protected].
