CHICAGO — Actor Jeff Garlin is leaving ABC's "The Goldbergs" amid allegations of on-set misconduct, Deadline.com reported.
The online entertainment news outlet reported Garlin and Sony Pictures Television reached "a mutual agreement" for the actor's immediate exit from the show, which is in its 9th season.
Garlin's departure came after Vanity Fair published a story regarding reports that some show staffers complained about his foul language and physical behavior.
The Chicago-born comedian, who grew up in suburban Morton Grove, told Vanity Fair the allegations made against him were "silly."
"As a comedian, if somebody is offended by what I say I, all I can say is, I'm sorry. Okay? I have never physically come at anyone, for any reason, so that I find terribly confusing and untrue," Garlin told the magazine.
