TUCSON, AZ — A man and a woman are both dead from gunshot wounds in an apparent murder-suicide, according to Tucson Police.
Maria Miranda, 50, and Miguel Arvizu, 53, were both pronounced dead at the scene in Tucson Wednesday night, police said in a news release.
When police arrived at the home in the 3700 block of East 32nd Street around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday they found the two dead from gunshot wounds, police said.
The 911 caller was a child who lived with Miranda and Arvizu, according to police.
Arvizu was the only adult in the home who had a gun in his possession, police said.
"Investigators believe Miguel fired his weapon at Maria before turning the gun on himself," Tucson Police said in the news release.
Police said they would release additional details as they become available.
