Job Title: Facility Attendant Department: Production Status: Part-time/Full-time with benefits The Santa Maria Times is looking for a detail-oriented person to oversee general dayside maintenance of the building and company vehicles. The ideal applicant will have exceptional written and verbal communication, the ability to multitask, organizational skills, and an awareness of company property needs. Skills required: • comfortable and able to climb ladders • comfortable and able to operate machinery when needed • able to lift 40 lbs Responsibilities: • scheduling service of major office appliances, warehouse machinery and company vehicles when needed • overseeing repairs by communicating with service providers during scheduled maintenance • unloading insert trucks with the forklift (previous experience not required) • unloading roll trucks with the clamp truck (previous experience not required) • dropping and opening newsprint rolls • keeping the warehouse clean and organized Full-time benefits: Santa Maria California News Media offers an affordable benefit package to all full time employees including medical, dental, life, and vision insurances, and 401K.
