Same story you see from time to time on here. I’m a 40-ish office schlub living on the East side of town who played in a couple garage bands in high school and college and wrote some songs, but never pursued anything with it. Have kept playing the guitar on my own but never had the time or drive to seek after playing with anyone else. Maybe it’s a midlife crisis or just the result of having watched all 8 hours of Get Back, but I have recently gotten the itch to play with others again. Not looking to do anything more than goof around a couple times a month (if that). Maybe play at a backyard party for friends or something, but not much more than that. I have an unhealthy love of Britpop (Blur > Oasis) but appreciate all music. The songs I play most often and annoy my kids with range from Sam Cooke to Squeeze to Tom Petty to Pulp. Not a guitar virtuoso by any means but I can play rhythm, some solos, and have a pretty good voice for lead or harmony. Triple vaxxed. If you are looking for something similar, shoot me a reply.
