 Athens, GA Church Choir Pianist, AccompanistPart-Time, Paid Position Young Harris Church of Athens needs to hire a part-time Church Choir Pianist, Accompanist. The Church Choir Pianist, Accompanist, shall be a person of deep Christian convictions and experience as a Christian faith person and must be familiar with Congregation Hymnals and Contemporary Music. He/She shall consider this position as a ministry to the choir members, the congregation, and the community. He/She shall work under the supervision of the Church Choir Director. Purpose of the Church Choir Pianist, Accompanist: To serve as a staff member within the congregation, minister, and accompany the Choir Director with the Adult Choir Program and the Youth Choir Program. Experience: Work with and accompany the Choir Director (1 year Preferred) Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Working Days:Sunday (Required)Wednesday (Required)All Special Services (Required) The Church Choir Pianist, Accompanist, shall be responsible for the general and specific functions below:Accompany the Choir Director and the Choir by playing the piano for all musical collaborations (including ensembles, solos, and choir music).Attend and participate in (being present promptly) choir practices and worship services (including special services such as special Holy Week and Lent, Ash Wednesday Service, Easter, Advent/Christmas services, and any other services required by the Senior Pastor).Arrive promptly and be prepared to play and participate before each worship service.Remain prepared to substitute for the Choir Director if/when he/she is either on vacation or out due to sickness.Maintain a high degree of integrity and confidentiality regarding information concerning staff members and church members.Maintain a professional appearance and proper attire required, or the wearing of required choral robe.Remain proficient in playing the piano and sight reading. Other duties or responsibilities may be requested but approved by the Church Choir Accompanist's immediate supervisor, the Church Choir Director. Any use of campus equipment for personal use must be approved by the Trustee Chair or the Senior Pastor.
