We are a boutique DJ event group servicing the Private Event, Corporate Event and VIP Event spaces looking to bring on a class of new DJs to join our event teams. No experience is necessary (training will be provided), but special attention will go toward candidates with the right personality and professional or amateur experience in live/event performance, djing, playlist creation, live music, theatrical production, set design, event production, lighting production, students, recent graduates, or anyone interested in the live event, hospitality, performance and/or music industry. While events take place every day of the week, they most commonly fall on the weekends- especially Saturdays. Candidates should have availability Friday-Sunday and reliable transportation. The Candidate: -Attention and respect to the details with a ‘no task too big/small’ mentality, reliable with consistent dependability. Think Disney. -Great communication skills and ability to take direction while working as part of a team. Team player mentality and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment is a must! -Positive, team player attitude and willingness to learn. We will train the right candidates. -Interest in and/or familiarity with the live event industry (or related industries mentioned). -Production experience is not required, however a general sense of tech, audio, lighting and event production will be common. -Comfortable loading, unloading, setting up and striking event productions. -Comfortable working during an event, dressed the part, in a client facing environment. -Flexible schedule and ability to work long “unconventional business hours”, mainly weekends and evenings. -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a requirement. The Job: -Perform with DJ/MC team at private, corporate, and VIP events, generally Saturday afternoon/evenings. -Communicate in a timely and professional manner with clients and the DJ/MC team before and after events. -Meet the event team on site to assist in loading, setup, tech checks and rehearsal of the timeline. -Curating great mixes for live audiences of all shapes and sizes. -Help perform strike/tear down at the end of events. -Become an expert in our event language and workflows, learn production cue points and on site support tactics. -Serve as a brand ambassador and event staff in a client facing role at live events with exceptional professionalism and hospitality. -Assist with setup, oversight, modification and general support of all equipment (sound, lighting, media screens, content capture). -Perform general administrative tasks (e.g. moving vehicles, purchasing supplies, deliveries, getting coffee, etc.) Relevant Skills: -Music Knowledge -Tech Savvy -DJ/Music Production Software/Hardware Knowledge -Event Production/Theater/Drama -Hospitality/Service -Lighting Design -Media/Content Capture Details: Event duties will vary depending on the projects and schedule, as well as candidate interests. For some, this could take on a role in which you are always working under a crew, while for others it may involve meeting with clients and performing your own events. Lots of opportunity for growth in this role, such as Media/Content Capture, Specialized Production Assistant, DJ/MC, Lighting Assistant, Event Dancer, Social Media Management, Business Development/Industry Networking and becoming more involved in the entertainment/live event industry at large.
