Janitor/Maintenance Technician – Arizona Mills Mall - Part-Time Hourly Rate: $14.00 + mileage reimbursement for travel around the Phoenix area Approx 10 hours a week with one weekday morning and one weekend morning, additional hours may be available at 2 - 3 malls in the Phoenix area. COMPANY BACKGROUND Smarte Carte, Inc. is the leading concessionaire of self-serve vended luggage carts, electronic lockers, commercial strollers and massage chairs, as well as other passenger and guest services. Smarte Carte is headquartered in St. Paul, MN and has operations in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, United Kingdom, and Singapore. BASIC FUNCTION The Janitor/Maintenance Technician ensures the cleanliness and functionality of our equipment- strollers and massage chairs, retrieving and returning strollers to our vending units, repairs as needed and interacting with both Smarte Carte and mall management. This position reports to the District Service Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Working knowledge of equipment and ability to perform maintenance and repairs. Maintain clean equipment at all times. Submit reports in an accurate and timely manner. Understand work rules and the expectations of the facility and Smarte Carte. Maintain regular contact with District Service Manager. Ensure a safe working environment by ensuring all equipment is in good repair and working as designed. Interact with facility management (mall management), to establish and maintain good rapport and excellent working relationships. Other assignments as needed. QUALIFICATIONS  Electrical and mechanical equipment repair Excellent verbal and written communication Electro-mechanical proficiency   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lift 40 lbs. to waist height Apply a force of approx 75 - 100 lbs to move 15 carts simultaneously Bend and stoop, walk and stand for long periods of time Visual acuity/manual dexterity to perform mechanical and electrical repairs   LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS Valid Drivers license required Experience Required Electrical and mechanical equipment repair skills Licenses & Certifications Required Drivers License Skills Required Reporting Time Management Customer Service Cleaning Troubleshooting Communication Behaviors Required Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Motivations Required Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help
