Description

We have an opening for a full time Assistant to Sanitation Manager at Food processing factory located in Santa Fe Springs. The Sanitation Manager is responsible for overseeing the Sanitation department. Duties and Responsibilities: Meets company's expectations regarding safety, quality, productivity, GMP's, and housekeeping. Update Master Sanitation Schedule to meet demands and equipment changes of the site. Direct team activities to ensure that cleaning functions are appropriately timed and ensure that cleaning activities occur on time as per the Sanitation Schedule. Implement cost saving procedures within the sanitation department by monitoring chemical and supply use and reduce budget spending. Train all associates on proper and effective cleaning procedures. Recommend and implement Sanitary Food Safety Programs for all departments. Track labor hours daily in payroll system to ensure accurate reporting of labor hours used and approve all timecards weekly. ·Perform Safety Behavior Observances to heighten the awareness of safe working techniques amongst the employees in all departments. Regular attendance in safety team meetings. Qualifications · Strong experience in Sanitation. · Prior food industry and caustic cleaning experience preferred. · Ability to read, understand, and follow MSDSs.
