Job Purpose Under the direction of the EHS Manager, the Health and Safety Site Representative will be responsible for providing assistance / support in Regulatory matters to the area Managers, Supervisors, and Safety Committee members. This position will provide guidance in coordination of day-to-day safety requirements. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Maintain a visible presence in the Production environment while ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations - Assist in coaching and mentoring area Managers on OSHA requirements and company safety practices - Participate in Facility Safety Audits and Corrective Action (Root Cause) follow up with area Managers - Assist effort in Risk Assessment / Job Hazard Analysis on processes and equipment - Ensure that all accidents are reported and addressed immediately - Participate and assist in Safety Incident investigations to determine Root Cause and Corrective Actions - Provide / assist in employee training on regulatory requirements - Administer New Employee Orientation on company safety policies and procedures prior to starting work - Inform the EHS Manager of any new or conflicting safety matters that could impact employee safety - Provide support to the Safety Committee members - Regular review of all applicable legislative standards to ensure compliance - Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Required Skills: - Bilingual in Spanish preferred - Previous Health and Safety experience - The ability to demonstrate the application of Root Cause Analysis - The ability to demonstrate the application of Risk Assessments / Job Hazard Analysis - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Public Presentation and training Skills - MS Office - 10 and 30 hour OSHA training certificate preferred Working Conditions: Working indoors or outdoors in seasonably hot or cold temperatures. Activities involve being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, noise levels that can exceed 85 dBa, and minimal exposure to dust. Physical Requirements: Requires standing for prolonged periods and walking throughout the facility.
