Diesel Mechanic Manager The Following are general skills required for the position: • At least 2 to 5 years working with Diesel Machinery such forklift, etc. • Ability to determine equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts. • Able to Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, verifying receipt. • Knowledge on keeping equipment available for use by competing preventative maintenance schedules, installing components, part upgrades, controlling corrosion. • Responsible for completing inspection records by annotating services and repairs. • Responsible for correcting deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major components. • Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. • Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the shop. • Able to deal with different type of vendors. • Knowledge operating forklift and lift heavy materials, as well as use forklift to route bins and the use of grinder. • Able to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites. • Coordinate, lead and manage employees. The Following are the general requirements for employment: • Comply with all company safety procedures • Pass a pre-employment drug test • Have reliable transportation • Able to work in a fast-paced growing business environment • Work Monday through Friday and overtime as necessary • This is a physical job; applicant must be able to: • Work outdoors in variety of weather conditions • Lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds • Sit or stand for long periods • Not afraid to get dirty • Other duties may be assigned Safety - PPE required includes steel toed shoes, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles.
