Description
Hi I am a hobby musician age 40. I've been active in playing music since I was a teenager, but not every year since then - maybe about half of them. I've played jazz, metal, rock, blues, punk, and bluegrass in various projects, mostly on bass and guitar. I'm also really into the keys lately at home.
Most of my experience is in original bands that never really get off the ground. You write or learn the set, practice, play 2 shows, break up, repeat.
Covid put an end to what I had been working on pre-covid, and I've tried a few things since then but nothing has gained traction, so I'm just going to throw this out there...
I'm looking for a band where playing the bass is fun. That could be funk, soul, r&b, jazz, or jam-band in nature but I want to lock in with a good drummer and make people dance. We can play bars or parties, covers or originals, but I want something that gets off the ground and plays out.
I have a full-time job so I am looking for something with weekly or biweekly group practices but I have more time than that each week to put into it learning the tunes on my own.
Cheers.
