ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operates a dish machine to wash dishes, glasses, cups, trays, silverware, and food service equipment Sets up and cleans dish machine area; checks temperatures and soap dispensing levels Stores clean equipment and utensils Assists in maintaining preparation and service areas in a sanitary condition Empties garbage to dump site Sweeps and mops floors Perform all other work-related duties as assigned by the Casino Shift Manager QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 1-year of experience in food handling or dishwashing. EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING A High School diploma or general education degree REASONING ABILITY Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly LANGUAGE SKILLS Able to read, write, and speak English CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must be able to obtain, and maintain, a Gardena Police Department/City-issued Casino Work Permit. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without restrictions Requires standing for long periods of time Constant sorting of dishes, flatware, and glassware WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
