Description
Rehoming three female degus with their cage and extras! The brown one is about 2 years old, and the small grey one is her baby (about 2 months old). The third one is about 6 months old. They should all stay together because degus are very social.
$120 rehoming includes three degus, brand new cage with tray (seen in photos), wheel, wooden hides and platforms, waterbottle, and food dish.
I hand feed them leafy greens daily, and they will come right up to you once they know you. They are fast to catch, but they will sit nicely in your hands when you are holding them, and they can be taught to walk into your hands with regular socializing.
You will need to provide:
- Hay for bedding and eating
- Plain guinea pig food (no nuts or fruity snacks)
- dust bath (usually sold for chinchillas)
They eat guinea pig food, timothy hay, and green vegetables. NO FRUIT, CARROTS, or NUTS/SEEDS. They are prone to diabetes if fed sugars and oils. They take a dust bath twice a week (I use a large dog bowl and put it in their cage for a couple of hours).
They are very active during the day and make cute noises to talk to each other, so they are very fun to watch! They also love cardboard boxes and toys like toilet paper rolls and rodent chew sticks.
I also have a large tank that they can be kept in if you prefer it to the cage.
I call them Amidala, Degu-ba, and Tatooine. :) No rush to rehome them - I'm looking for a good home that wants to love them! $120 firm for rehoming with habitat.
