OUTER ORBIT HONEYDROPS FREE PRE-FUNK @ THE COMMONS APRES SKI BASH CONCERT SERIES ON MIRROR POND PLAZA - FRIDAY DECEMBER 17 2021 Parallel 44 Presents Funk/Soul Allstars OUTER ORBIT feat. SARAH CLARKE to kick off this Winter’s Après Ski Bash Series at The Commons on Mirror Pond Plaza on Friday, December 17, 2021 for a free, all ages concert event. This show is also the official pre-party for The California Honeydrops show at Midtown (click link for tix) and will start an hour earlier than normal. Taps and tacos will start flowing at 5:30PM and OUTER ORBIT will throw down two sets of funky goodness between 6PM and 9PM. About OUTER ORBIT: Outer Orbit is a funk soul collective led by Galen Clark (Trio Subtonic, Sleater Kinney) and fronted by vocalist Sarah Clarke (Dirty Revival, Elektrapod). The band features an all-star lineup of NW musicians including Tyrone Hendrix (Prince, Allen Stone), Damian Erskine (Skerik Band), Peter Knudsen (Ghost-Note, Greaterkind) and Mike Elson (Swatkins & the Positive Agenda). Coming fresh off of their freshman self-titled album release, featuring artists like John Medeski, Nicholas Semrad (Cory Henry), and Saeeda Wright (Prince, Liv Warfield) the band has been making a name for themselves despite the pandemic, exploding onto the NW music scene playing Waterfront Blues Festival and Jam Revival as well as many other high profile concert appearances. Outer Orbit brings original burning soul and pocket heavy funk while drawing on a range of influences from Sly Stone and The Meters to Aretha Franklin and Emily King Parallel 44 Presents promotes musical events in Central Oregon, primarily in Bend. With over 1100 shows presented thus far, P44P's primary focus is promoting, supporting, furthering and developing music that put smiles on people's faces, compels them to move their bodies, and inspires them to ponder the deeper meaning of it all.
