Description
I have seven parakeets (budgies) that were surrendered to Michigan Budgie Society from a hoarding situation.
They are sweet, young birds. Most are docile when handled and could be trained to be hand tame without too much effort. We are working on station training the past week and they have been excellently behaved, staying at their perches near their open cage all day without any excursions to the rest of the house.
Please send a photo of your cage setup to be considered for adopting one of these cuties.
Your cage must be large enough and have proper bar spacing for budgies. Recommended size for permanent homes is at least an 18 inch cube per bird. Wider is better than taller if you're getting multiple birds.
All adoption fees go to Michigan Budgie Society, a nonprofit organization.
