Join us for an evening to celebrate the newest Posse D.C. Scholars
On January 5th the 61 newly accepted Scholars will be joined by their families, friends and the Posse D.C. community at the historic Lincoln Theatre at the 17th annual Posse D.C. Awards Ceremony. We will celebrate these dynamic young people, who were awarded more than $12 million in full-tuition merit scholarships by Bucknell University, Lafayette College, Lewis & Clark College, Sewanee: The University of the South, University of Rochester and University of Wisconsin-Madison.
All attendees must be fully vaccinated in order to attend the event.
Posse started in 1989 because of one student who said, “I never would have dropped out of college if I’d had my posse with me.” The Posse Foundation identifies public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential who may be overlooked by traditional college selection processes. The Foundation extends to these students the opportunity to pursue personal and academic excellence by placing them in supportive, multi-cultural teams—Posses—of 10 students. The Foundation’s partner colleges and universities award Posse Scholars full-tuition leadership scholarships.
