Property Management company seeking to fill a Maintenance Porter/ Janitorial Position in the Boca/Delray area. Candidates must have prior experience in the following: Ensure property grounds and common areas are clean and free of debris and that all external fixtures are clean and in working order on a daily basis. Complete assigned tasks and repairs in a safe and timely manner. Inspect the property daily; pick up trash and debris, and reports all safety hazards or needed repairs to the Lead Maintenance. Clean parking lot areas and all common areas free of trash and debris. Empty trash cans and move/clean trash dumpsters and surrounding areas. Assist with removal of furniture, appliances, and debris dumpster or storage. ( when needed) Washing of windows and other janitorial duties such as cleaning of bathrooms, mopping, and vacuuming on a daily basis. Other tasks as assigned by your supervisor, not listed as essential job functions. REQUIREMENTS: Full-time (includes weekends) EDUCATION: High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred. EXPERIENCE: Qualified candidates will have 3-4 years commercial maintenance/janitorial or related field. SPECIAL SKILLS: Working knowledge of general building trades is required. Must know how to use basic hand tools for building maintenance. Must also have previous Porter and Janitorial experience. PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladder, to reach, lift, pull, push, balance, crouch, crawl, kneel and lift or carry weight up to 60 lb. May be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions, chemical hazards, respiratory hazards, extreme heat for more than 1 hour at a time. Must be able to read, and speak English. Availability to respond to community needs during non-business hours when an emergency appears.
