A paradigm shift in the research world has occurred that identifies Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) as a root cause of many social/emotional/physical health problems we experience. ACEs are incredibly common, they affect the brain and health in predictable ways, and they can be addressed to bring hope and healing.
